OPERATION BOOKSHELF

Providing reading opportunities to homebound individuals in our community since 1976, Las Aletas members deliver books, DVDs and audio books to patrons who otherwise have no access to library services. Patrons are referred by both Las Aletas and Chapter members, the Goleta Public Library staff, local assisted living directors and the community at large.

In support of this needed service and in recognition of its importance to our community, the Assistance League® of Santa Barbara supports Operation Bookshelf with an annual donation to the Goleta Public Library. Funding supports the purchase of large-print books and expanding library resources.
