Santa Barbara

The Assistance League Bear HUGS program was established in 1988. Since that time, over 13,000 Assistance League "Huggy Bears" have been distributed for the purpose of comforting children and adults in severe trauma situations. Bears are delivered through cooperating organizations such as local hospitals and fire stations.

Thomas Fire and Flood Victims

Assistance league of Santa Barbara has provided bears for children effected by these tragic disasters which hit our community in the last few months. Several boxes of our plush bears, packed with a coloring book and crayons, were dropped off to the local Red Cross service tent at the Disaster Relief Center.
